FEB 9-DISCOVERING YOUR TRUE SELF

Discovering My True Self

We know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

Today's Scripture & Insight:
Who am I? That’s the question a faded stuffed animal asks himself in the children’s book Nothing by Mick Inkpen. Left in a dusty corner of an attic, the animal hears movers call him “nothing” and thinks that’s his name: Nothing.
Encounters with other animals spark memories. Nothing realizes that he used to have a tail, whiskers, and stripes. But it’s not until he meets a tabby cat who helps him find his way home that Nothing remembers who he truly is: a stuffed cat named Toby. His owner lovingly restores him, sewing on new ears, tail, whiskers, and stripes.
Whenever I read this book, I think about my own identity. Who am I? John, writing to believers, said that God has called us His children (1 John 3:1). We don’t fully understand that identity, but when we see Jesus, we will be like him (v. 2). Just like Toby the cat, we will one day be restored to the identity intended for us, which has been marred by sin. For now, we can understand that identity in part, and we can recognize the image of God in each other. But one day, when we see Jesus, we will be fully restored to the identity God intended for us. We will be made new.

Today's Reflection

Where do I find my identity? According to Scripture, how does God view me?

2.

An apprentice is a person who works for
another in order to learn a trade.

A practitioner is a a person engaged in the
actual practice of a profession or occupation.

A master is a person with the ability or
power to use, control, or dispose of something.

When it comes to midnight prayers, our goal is
to get you from an apprentice to a practitioner ...

... and on to a master.

Because at that level you become a VDP.

VDP means --

Very Dangerous Person... in the spirit.

When you get to that level your enemies
will really think twice before accepting any
evil assignment against you...

OR your marriage.

OR your finances.

OR even your loved ones.

The Prayer Academy is the LORD's secret
weapon for turning ordinary, previously-lukewarm
apprentices into VDPs as fast as possible.

When that happens, people around you will notice.

That's what happened to Priscilla.

Hear her:

= = = =

"When I first joined the Prayer Academy
in 2013 I never imagined that my life will be
overhauled like this.

I can safely say I am a brand new person.
Very dangerous; I am taking everything that is mine
by force through prayer.

My church is noticing the growth and the change.
I am being elected to be a board member of the
women ministry.

I am not a Bible School graduate but they say
I am more anointed that most Bible school students.
I get prayer requests more like a flood of request.

I see clearly in my dreams, clear as day. I destroyed
snakes in my dreams. I got a salary raise last November.
I've been changed forever.

My marriage went from best to excellent.

My prayer DNA is awakened. I've been told that
I must prepare myself to share at the women ministry.

What's next? what is next program I need to
register for? Thank you so much for your teachings."

Praise the LORD.

Notice what she says:

I see clearly in my dreams, clear as day...

David prayed:

Uncover my eyes so that I may see the
miraculous things in your teachings. - Ps 119:18

Once you get to that level your enemies are in trouble.

Let me share a secret with you:

All we need to take back this generation for Christ is
to raise a thousand Priscillas in a thousand
communities across the globe.

i.e. 1,000 X 1,000 = 1,000,000 VDP's

This is spiritual math.

Just one million of us and we'll turn the table
against the enemy and ...

TAKE BACK our communities for Jesus.

Will you stand up and be counted?

Be An Overcomer

P.S.

Eagles are NEVER satisfied with yesterday's anointing.

That's why she asks:

What's next? what is next program I need to register for?

Here's where the Eagles are gathered right now (login required)

A Prayer for Bad Attitudes
By Tracie Miles

“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.” James 1:2 (NLT)
James wrote today’s key verse during a time where the Christians had allowed the frustrations and annoyances of life to steal their optimism and joy. But in their defense, these believers had a lot of serious and justifiable reasons to have a bad attitude.

They faced great persecution, unrelenting trials and sufferings — from murder to imprisonment — at the hand of Saul, who was zealous in his efforts to destroy the church and anyone associated with Jesus. As a result, these Christians were juggling an array of emotions, including fear, mourning, confusion, loneliness and even hopelessness.
Some fled their homes in fear for their lives. They lived in poverty, forced to scrounge for food to survive. Some were sick, and everyone was exhausted. They had every right to be negative and pessimistic. I can only imagine as they sunk under the weight of seemingly insurmountable problems and fears, that their faith might have been sinking, too.
