WHAT IS YOUR GIFT? HOW DO YOU CONNECT THE GIFTS IN CHRISTMAS TO YOUR FAITH

Dear  Believer, Friend and Fan,
I hope you are well wherever you are by His abundant grace. Let's give thanks to Him for the protection during the night and for us to see the light of the day. Sing praises to God.  Our Declaration for the day is  COLOSSIANS 4: 6.  ( Please read them and meditate on it).
Our Today's Inspiration is titled:  WHAT IS YOUR GIFT?

A gift have many definitions depending on the context in which it appears.

There are parents gifts, family gifts, community gifts, school gifts, church gifts, social gifts, occasional gifts, festive gifts, romantic gifts, ceremonial gifts economic gifts, political gifts, sports gifts, artistic gifts, district gifts, municipal gifts, metropolitan gifts, regional gifts, international gifts, psychic gifts, prophetic gifts, healing gifts, deliverance gifts...add to the list.  I believe that every category of gift that I have mentioned above, you can connect with and be able to give your own personal experience with some of them.

Let me come close to you and bring memories of Christmas when we were children in the 1980s.  Those were the days of the Kakaamotobi ( masquerade era), where we would build Bronya Dan ( Xmas Play Houses where we, the children would play Paapa and Maame). It was Bronya time that every child was of the expectation of receiving some sort of gifts from parents, family members, community and so on.  The 26th December known officially as the Boxing Day is the day gifts are giving and received.   To us as children, those gifts expressed the love that the givers had for us. It was a treasure. The gift assured us that we were recognized, appreciated and thought of by the community and everybody.  We, in turn, express our appreciation of the gifts through dances, singing and treasured words such as Medase, Akpe, Oyiwaadon, Nagoodey, Nyame Nhyira Wo, God bless you etc.     In essence, a gift does so many things, including affecting both the giver and the recipient.
When we look at the other non-festive types of gifts, we would look at it as a special skill that we possess and can be used positively to impact people, community and the world.
For example, Asamoah Gyan, a soccer player in Ghana, have a gift in soccer that he is using to impact his family, country and the world.
In music, Noble Nketsia and Abrekyieba Kofi Sammy have gifts that they are using to impact the community.
What is your gift socially, in your faith and in every dimension and how are you using it to benefit the society and for pointing people to the grace of the Lord?
Let's Reflect on this.

Be blessed.

Pastor H.
